Join Barbara for a one day workshop experiencing intaglio design, drawing and printing. Using various Tetra Paks, like the ubiquitous milk carton, you will learn a new etching process, incising a design into the ink absorbing surface to release your design from its porous paperboard . Having inked up your Tetra Pak plate, you can produce a print using hand pressing or a printing press. Suitable for all levels of experience.

The magical world of relief printing using jigsaw and stencil techniques
with Barbie Kjar
19th – 20th September, 2026
10.00am – 4.00pm
This is an action packed weekend of inventive relief printing exploring colour, shape and composition with Barbie. Explore the colourful potential of jigsaw block printing with Silk Cut Lino. Over two days you will learn how to cut and reassemble Inyo modular forms that can be inked up separately and repositioned to form one image. Day two stencils will be made from paper, acetate or tracing paper and printed in conjunction with the jigsaw print adding another layer of experimentation. This is a dynamic technique which can be followed up after the workshop. Max 6 participants.

Exploring the beauty of botanical printing through experimental cyanotype and botanical mono printing, these two expressive techniques will lead you to create botanical prints with unique and exquisite colour qualities.
Her experimental cyanotype and botanical mono printing techniques will provide participants, over two immersive days, the opportunity to explore experimental creative techniques with cyanotype printing. Mono printing will add colour, texture and layering to capture the beautiful forms of foliage. Combining these two printmaking techniques will leave you with a beautiful collection of prints – each one a unique collaboration between you and the natural world. This workshop is perfect for anyone with a love of nature and interest in printmaking. No experience required. Maximum 8 participant.

Join Libby in exploring the art of colour reduction linocut as she treats our feathered models with the reverence of a 16th-century avian aristocrat. You’ll learn to translate their intricate details and unique personalities into stunning colour relief prints. Come to see your local aviary in a new light and capture their noble spirit on paper. Reconsider the extraordinary beauty of the everyday bird. Often overlooked in favour of grander subjects, Libby focuses on these diverse domestic creatures—with their vibrant colours, distinct character, and unexpected elegance—all worthy of the finest portraiture.
Participants will gain a greater appreciation of our local and diverse bird species as sophisticated artistic subjects. Learn the fundamentals of linocut printmaking, from design transfer to reduction printing techniques. Developing a keen eye to observe detail, texture, and character in your chosen bird subject. Fabric Screen Printing Workshop

Join Michelle in an inspiring hands-on workshop where you’ll design and screen print your very own mini fabric collection. Blending creativity with practical skill, this session introduces you to the exciting world of textile design and screen printing. In this 2 day workshop, you’ll explore fabric types, ink mixing and pattern development while learning the core techniques of screen printing. You will experiment with hand-cut stencils and a variety of mark-making techniques to produce a set of original designs. By the end of the session, you’ll have created a cohesive collection of printed fabrics—perfect for turning into small projects such as a tote, cushion cover or for incorporating into your broader art practice. You’ll also take home a comprehensive booklet covering all the techniques learned, so you can continue exploring screen printing with confidence. No previous experience is required—just a willingness to experiment and create. Participants will also take home an A3 wooden frame screen print and squeegee. Maximum participants 8.

Join Sue Wood in a weekend of artistic experimentation. She will use monoprint/gel printing, mark making and mixed media to create colourful pages. These will be made into a 64 page sketchbook with a hand painted canvas cover. Sue has a wide range of visual arts skills, including mixed media talents focussing on utilising and collaging textiles, paint and paper. She has enjoyed the relationship between art and books with many of her students going on to become successful book artists. Sue is a popular artist with national engagements to facilitate short and long term workshop training in mixed media. Curious about the different mark making techniques? This workshop combines experimental mark making, basic mono print and mixed media processes. You will also take home your own gel printing plate to hopefully inspire more printing experiments. Maximum 8 participants.

Payments
Workshop payments can be made at Creators Artspace in Wodonga, by direct debit (BSB 633000 AC: 153560354 send email confirmation with your name and workshop name) or online.
Refunds – Workshop cancelled or postponed by Creators
A full refund is available when a workshop is cancelled by Creators Artspace. Creators Artspace may need to cancel a workshop if minimum numbers of participants have not enrolled or Tutor needs to postpone/cancel. This decision will be made 2 weeks prior to the start date if possible. All participants will be contacted by email or text. If a workshop, in which you are enrolled is postponed to a future date you may like to enrol in the new proposed date or receive a full refund. An email is required to confirm your decision within 30 days after the notification of the new date.
